Preliminary reports are in for Pettis County storms

Sunday's storms caused damage across the state of Missouri, with the most impactful damage in mid-Missouri coming just outside of Sedalia. The national weather service tweeted this image detailing the preliminary report they completed on Monday.

The preliminary report lists two EF-0 tornadoes, each on the edge of town. According to the National Weather Service, no injuries or deaths came as a result of the storms. According to officials in Pettis County,

The resident of this home says a canoe was blown into her window from the lake across the road by straight line winds.

In addition to the two brief tornado tracks, a wind event caused damage to property in the Monsees Lake Estates just east of Sedalia. Residents say this seemed like a straight line wind event.
