Tracking fall temperatures with scattered showers ahead
Today: Winds continue out of the north with mostly clear skies cooling mid-Missouri to highs in the mid-'70s.
Tonight: Winds continue at 5-10 mph with mostly clear skies overnight allowing for the overnight low to bottom out at 55 degrees.
Extended: Tuesday afternoon, a low pressure off to the southeast will lead to chances of scattered showers. Moisture will be pulled from the Gulf of Mexico towards Missouri. This trend will continue Wednesday and Thursday afternoon with highs into the lower '70s. By Friday a high-pressure system off to the north changes the surface winds back out of the southwest allowing for a heating trend. Highs into the weekend reach the lower '80s with chances of showers once again on Sunday.
