Tracking rain chances here through the weekend

THURSDAY: You’ll want to have the umbrella in hand as you step outside this morning. We’ll likely be dry to start the day, but more showers and storms are expected to fill in this afternoon. Those will stay with us through the evening, before waning overnight. Highs will top out closer to 80 with more clouds around.

TONIGHT: Can’t rule out a stray shower or two before sunrise, but most of us should stay dry. Lows will bottom out in the middle 60’s once again.

EXTENDED: Pretty similar coverage with the rain is expected tomorrow, favoring the afternoon and evening. Highs will struggle to warm up much more than 80 in the afternoon. We’ll be likely tracking a few more holdover showers and storms Friday night. Showers and storms will be off and on throughout the day on Saturday, possibly affecting tailgating plans or the Missouri Tiger game itself. Highs are expected to only reach the 70’s during the afternoon. Our front will finally start to swing through Sunday, but will give us another reason to see showers and storms to close out the weekend. We’ll need to look out for some wrap-around showers Monday afternoon, but otherwise, some fall-like weather will treat us starting out next week. Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s through Wednesday, with some more sunshine mixing in.
