Tracking hot days ahead with rain on the way

Tonight: Temperatures look a little warmer for the overnight low tonight thanks to winds flowing out of the south at 8-12 mph with gusts in the upper teens. Skies will remain clear thanks to a high-pressure system.

Tomorrow: Temperatures will peak just below the record high set in 1897 at 93. Columbia will fall just short at 90 degrees but humidity will remain low making conditions bearable.

Extended: Tuesday will be similiar to Monday as the high climbs just above 90 with winds remaining out of the south/ southwest. Winds will die out with sky conditions remaining clear. Wednesday afternoon, a low pressure system moves in from the west allowing for partly cloudy skies and chances of scattered showers which stay with us through the next weekend. Temperatures slowly begin to decrease down to the upper 70s by the weekend for highs.
