Tracking evening scattered showers with a warm-up next week

Today: Partly cloudy skies will remain with us this afternoon as southwesterly flowing winds aid in warming us up to the lower '80s.

Tonight: An overnight cold-front slides in from the northwest causing scattered showers beginning at 7 pm and exiting Central Missouri by midnight tonight. This will aid in cooling overnight temperatures as winds will shift back from the north once again.

Extended: Saturday will be near average temperatures with temperatures in the upper '70s. A high-pressure system begins to creep over Mid- Missouri leading to winds shifting back from the south and a steep increase in temperatures back to the early '90s by the start of next we. Temperatures will slowly fall to the lower '80s as we remain dry.
