Tracking a warmer afternoon with a stray shower chance tonight

FRIDAY: We're being treated to sunshine this morning, but that will get replaced by more cloud cover this afternoon. Highs will push into the low 80's with a steady southerly breeze picking up again. Gusts will approach 25 mph at times.

TONIGHT: A few showers will be possible after about 5-6 PM through midnight. After that things will settle down as the front moves well off to our south. Lows will fall into the low 50's.

EXTENDED: We're left with a pleasant afternoon on Saturday. Highs will only top out in the upper 70's in the wake of our front. We bounce back into the upper 80's on Sunday, where we'll stay through Tuesday. Our next storm system of note will be to our west, but could start to influence us on Wednesday. Uncertainty still exists with how the middle of next week will play out. A cut-off low will start to jump back into the flow aloft out of the dessert southwest. As it does so, it looks to bring rain chances with it, but when and where that happens is still murky. Right now, it appears the rain will stay to our west, which would keep us above normal in the temperature department.
