Tracking the return of sunshine this morning

WEDNESDAY: Most of the rain has made it south of the area, but a leftover shower or two early this morning can’t be ruled out. Sunshine will return throughout the morning, but temperatures will end up a bit cooler, in the low to mid 80’s.

TONIGHT: With mostly clear skies overhead, we get a good chance to cool off overnight. Lows will bottom out near 60 tonight.

EXTENDED: We make a quick return to the upper 80’s on Thursday. Sunshine looks to be a staple of the next handful of days. That will keep temperatures about ten degrees above where we “should be” in the middle of September. The upper 80’s and low 90’s will stick around through Tuesday of next week before another cold front enters the picture. Showers and storms look to roll through Tuesday night, with a decent push of cooler air for the middle of next week.
