Tracking some warmer weather for the weekend

FRIDAY: It’ll be another bright day to round of the week. Temperatures will be a bit warmer today with winds turning out of the south this afternoon, reaching the upper 80’s. Some gusts could get to 20 mph. Some more of that wildfire smoke will stick around today from the fires out west, leading to a hazy sky.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will stick around tonight. Lows will only cool off into the upper 60’s.

EXTENDED: With a warmer start in hand, temperatures will surpass Friday’s getting into this weekend. Highs will warm into the middle 90’s through Monday. The humidity won’t be outrageous like we’ve seen in weeks past, so the heat index won’t be as big of a problem as it has been, but you’ll still want to stay hydrated. Help is on the way towards the middle of next week. A system to our north looks to swing a cold front through the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. That will push through some showers and storms ahead of some cooler weather to enjoy for a day. We’ll knock highs back into the low to mid 80’s Wednesday afternoon before bouncing back into the upper 80’s later in the week.
