Tracking a dry Sunday, dangerous heat this week

TODAY: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s. Less humid and a heat index around 90.

TOMORROW: Southerly airflow returns and boosts highs to the mid-90s. This will also mean a return of humidity, and the heat index could reach up to the triple digits! Make sure to stay hydrated and avoid spending too much time outdoors in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Southerly flow holds strong through most of the week and dangerous heat could last through Thursday. A heat index in the triple digits is possible each afternoon. Rain chances will return as we get closer to the weekend which could finally knock the temperatures down a few degrees. Highs return to normal in the low 90s by Friday.
