Tracking more spotty afternoon storms
WEDNESDAY: We’re going to see close to a repeat of yesterday setting up today. Highs will top out in the upper 80’s with a chance for a few showers/storms by the afternoon. Coverage will be tough to come by later today and they should fizzle pretty quickly after sunset.
TONIGHT: That will leave us quiet overnight under partly cloudy skies. Lows will back off into the upper 60’s.
EXTENDED: We’ll come back with an encore on Thursday. Highs nearing 90 and isolated to scattered showers and storms during the afternoon and early evening. We’re tracking a slightly better chance for another round of storms Friday night as a front approaches the area. Highs will once again top out in the upper 80’s with those storm chances possible throughout the day, but higher after sunset. We’ll move those storms out early Saturday morning and we’re starting to look like we can hold them off for the rest of the weekend. Highs will hover around 90 Saturday and Sunday. We turn the heat up a bit more next week, with afternoon temperatures pushing into the middle 90’s.
