Today: Light to moderate fog is currently covering most of the viewing area but will begin to push out by mid-morning along with the remaining showers. By this afternoon, clouds will become mostly clear and the temperature will increase to 90.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies will cool Central Missouri just below 70 for the overnight low.
Extended: Mostly sunny skies and southwesterly flowing winds will aid in a warming trend on Saturday as we reach a high of 92 with the heat index climbing to the mid-'90s. Sunday a low-pressure system moves into Central Missouri bringing with it chances for scattered showers and storms. The greatest chance for storms lies north of I-70. The heat index will climb just below 100 thanks to increased humidity. Starting off the next work week, highs will begin in the mid to lower '90s and chances of rain begin to slightly increase by mid-week.
