Tracking humidity and high temperatures this weekend

Today: It's a stuffy start with dewpoints already in the 70s in the early morning. A Weather Alert Day is in effect as temperatures reach the mid-90s this afternoon with a heat index between 102 and 105 degrees. Be sure to drink plenty of water and limit time outdoors as much as possible.

Tomorrow: The Weather Alert Day continues for Sunday with similar conditions. A cold front dipping into the area could knock heat indexes back a few degrees, but the heat will still be dangerous. There's a chance for isolated showers or storms by the late afternoon as this front moves in.

Extended: Scattered rain lingers for Monday to put highs back in the low 90s. Temperatures continue to increase heading into mid-week as skies clear with highs into the mid-90s once again. Dew points will hold in the 70s, meaning that heat indexes will be a concern for the majority of the week.
