Tracking a sweltering stretch ahead

WEDNESDAY: Some patchy fog will be an issue in some spots. That should lift after 9 AM, leaving us with partly cloudy, but hazy, skies. Temperatures look to push into the upper 80’s to some 90’s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Another quiet night ahead under mostly clear skies. Lows will bottom out in the upper 60’s.

EXTENDED:  A few more 90’s look possible into Thursday and Friday with some more sunshine. With our ridge firmly in control into Saturday, temperatures could step up a notch, into the middle 90’s this weekend. The one thing that might help Sunday and Monday is a front approaching the area from the north. That will bring back the possibility of showers and storms to help curb the heat a bit. Otherwise, get used to the 90’s—they look to stick around well into next week.
