Columbia Parks and Recreation gives update on trail conditions post-flooding

Obviously, we’ve been dealing with much drier conditions these last few days, but if you’re headed out to some trails across columbia, you may need to keep an eye out for leftover problems from that flooding.

In a Facebook post made yesterday, Columbia Parks and Recreation said that they had removed all fallen trees on the paths, and that they have cleared most underpasses of leftover debris. That being said, some low lying areas are still submerged, and the parks service is looking to add 3” of base rock so that all trails are usable for everyone. Right now, Columbia Parks and Recreation is recommending that all bicyclists remain off the gravel trails for the time being.

The Columbia Parks and Recreation Facebook Page has detailed information about some of the trails still impacted by leftover damage from last month's flash flooding. The following link will take you to that post. https://www.facebook.com/ComoParksandRec
