Tracking more rounds of storms today
FRIDAY: More showers and thunderstorms will come and go throughout the day. Gusty winds and some large hail will be possible with any of them, but the flash flooding threat is the biggest concern. Another couple inches of rain will worsen already ongoing flooding problems. Where we can avoid the rain longer, south of HWY 50, temperatures could push into the upper 80’s to low 90’s.
TONIGHT: Storms stick around overnight, keeping the flooding threat around. Lows will fall into the 70’s.
EXTENDED: Our frontal boundary will stick around into the weekend, leading to a few more rounds of storms Saturday and Sunday. These don’t look like they’ll be quite as widespread or heavy, but will be enough to impact outdoor plans. Temperatures will stick around the 80’s during the afternoons. Showers and storms will stay possible into next week, but look like they’ll be more confined to the afternoon and evening hours.
