Tracking a pleasant Memorial Day weekend

TODAY: Cloudy early with more sunshine in the afternoon. Cool in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: High pressure will continue pushing clouds out, warming us into the low 70s by Sunday afternoon.

EXTENDED: Memorial Day starts off dry with rain possible by the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s and rain will stay scattered. Storms aren't likely on Monday; however, the middle of the week looks more active. Rain chances stick around through Thursday as periods of showers and storms move in. Highs during the week will slowly creep into the mid-70s. Rain is expected to clear out potentially by Friday into next weekend. Rainfall amounts are just under 2" above average for the month as Columbia is sitting at 6.15" for May. Typically we see 4.77" total for the month, and we could add to our final total if we pick up some measurable rain on Monday.
