Tracking showers and storms this afternoon

TODAY: We start out dry today in the low 40s with highs reaching right around 60 degrees this afternoon. Scattered showers will pop up just after noon, with some thunderstorms possible into the evening.

TOMORROW: Rain and clouds leave quickly after sundown with temperatures dropping close to the upper 30s overnight. Monday will be much nicer, but a bit breezy, with clearer skies and highs reaching the mid to upper 60s by the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Take a lot of time outside on Monday as we won't be that warm again for a while. A cold front will begin moving in early Tuesday morning to push temperatures close to freezing. Depending on how early the system arrives, we could see snow accumulation on elevated and grassy surfaces, but roads should just stay wet. This front will shift winds from the north behind it and keep us cooler the rest of the week. Widespread frost is possible on Wednesday and Thursday morning as temperatures at that time creep close to freezing. Highs through the week will stick to the 50s. More scattered rain chances pop up for the end of the week, and we may finally see the 60s again by next weekend.
