Tracking some more nice weather this afternoon
MONDAY: Some more nice weather will help ease us into another week. Temperatures will make a run at 80 once again but with a few more clouds this afternoon. Winds will once again be out of the south, with a gust or two reaching 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Those partly cloud skies stick around overnight. Lows will only fall into the upper 50’s tonight.
EXTENDED: Tuesday’s looking quiet with more of the upper 70’s by the afternoon. Our next disturbance will start to emerge out of the central plains late in the day. Storms will fire into Oklahoma and Kansas before sliding east overnight. What’s left of those will affect the Wednesday morning commute with a few rumbles possible. Current thinking is that they’ll lose a lot of their steam moving into the area, but one or two could hold on longer than expected. Another round will try to fire by the afternoon as the front itself moves through. If we could warm up sufficiently ahead of that front, that would bring a severe threat. It’s still a little too early to tell how this will shake out, so stay with us. Showers will linger into Thursday as the parent system rotates through. Friday into the weekend looks to be gorgeous, with highs in the upper 60’s and low 70’s.
