Tracking another round of storms this afternoon
MONDAY: One round of rain is making its way out of the area but we’re not done just yet. This upper-level system will slide through this afternoon, sparking a few thunderstorms as it does. Some of these could pose a risk for large hail or even a brief spin-up. Timing will be around 3-4 PM for the first storms to get going. Highs will top out near 60.
TONIGHT: Those storms will start moving east this evening, after 10 PM. We’ll be stuck with mostly cloudy skies, and could be tracking some fog for the morning commute with lows in the 40’s.
EXTENDED: After the fog works out of here, the sunshine might be tough to come by on Tuesday. Highs will still top out in near 60. Another system approaches early on Wednesday, bringing a renewed chance of storms. Some of these could pose a threat for large hail and damaging winds as well, especially during the morning. The rain will stick with us for the rest of our St. Patrick’s Day before packing up and moving out by Thursday. A little cooler behind the rain, with highs in the upper 40’s Thursday. We start warming up just in time for the weekend with more sunshine Friday and highs in the 50’s. We’ll be closing in on the 60’s this weekend.
