Tracking the return of rain chances later today
FRIDAY: We’ll start off with some sunshine to wake us up, but clouds will move in throughout the day from the south. That’s preceding our next chance of rain. With the amount of dry air in place, we expect the showers to hold off until this evening. Highs today will work into the upper 40’s and low 50’s.
TONIGHT: Some spotty sprinkles will dot Mid-Missouri this evening. Our best chance looks to be between 6 PM and 10 PM, but won’t be for everyone. If you have any dinner plans tonight, an umbrella would be a good idea, just to be safe. Rain exits shortly after midnight, but fog will take it’s place as lows fall into the middle 30’s.
EXTENDED: We’ll wake up to fog Saturday morning, but clear it out by 10, leaving the rest of the day to enjoy the sunshine. Temperatures will make a run at 60o during the afternoon. We’ll repeat Friday night on Saturday with another shot at some light sprinkles toward the evening and overnight hours. The heaviest of the rain will stay to our south. That clears out before sunrise on Sunday, leaving the rest of the day to soak up the sun with highs in the low 50’s. We stay quiet Monday with highs in the 50’s again. There’s some signal that another disturbance could move through Monday night into Tuesday. There’s not a lot of confidence in how this will all play out so stay with us this weekend as we track it. No big cool downs slated next week, with highs staying pretty consistent in the in 50’s.
