Tracking more sunshine, warmer start to the weekend

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the mid-upper teens. Winds stay light from the south.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with highs nearing 40 degrees. Clouds increase toward evening.

EXTENDED: A weak system will bring a cold front to the area early on Sunday, bringing a chance for precipitation. Light snow showers will be possible early in the day north of Highway 24, with little to no accumulation expected. Farther south, temperatures will rise into the mid-upper 30s, allowing for a cold light rain into late afternoon. Precipitation will be very light with rain amounts around 0.1" or less. Clouds clear out into Monday, and we'll start next week off with more sunshine. Highs reach the mid-upper 40s on Monday, and with breezy south winds we get into the mid-50s on Tuesday. Wednesday into Thursday could bring another chance of precipitation, but the track of the next system is still uncertain. Behind that system, temperatures should cool into the low 40s for the remainder of next week.
