Tracking freezing cold and multiple chances for snow

TODAY: Harsh wind chills continue today, starting out in the negative teens this morning. Temperatures will be even colder today with a high of around 5°. Snow will begin this morning and continue again into the evening. Expect accumulations by this afternoon around 1/2" to 1".

THIS EVENING: The first round of snow from the morning will spread out by the afternoon into small flurries. The bulk of this approaching system will hit Sunday evening into Monday morning. Snow totals are stratified across the area, with some by the Lake and our southern counties seeing up to 4 inches by Monday afternoon. Others along I-70 could have a shot at 1-3", while those up north get a bit less this time around — places like Macon and Brunswick may only see 1-1.5".

EXTENDED: While we're dealing with snow the next few days, we can also expect frigid temperatures to continue. Wind chills in the morning for Monday and Tuesday still reach into the negative teens. Another disturbance may roll through during the middle of the week to bring more snow, and next weekend may finally see temperatures break past freezing.
