Tracking the return of rain this morning

soggy

FRIDAY: Have the umbrella ready as we get through the final day of the workweek. Rain will move in this morning and will be off and on through the evening. Temperatures will hold fairly steady in the upper 40’s and low 50’s.

TONIGHT: Rain will be a little more sporadic in coverage, but the chance will still be there. Lows will fall into the mid to upper 30’s.

EXTENDED: We could see a few flakes flying tomorrow along and north of I-70 as this system wraps up. The cold air will continue to funnel in during the afternoon, dropping temperatures into the middle 30’s. Anywhere that sees snowflakes shouldn’t worry about seeing any impacts on the roads. Some grassy, elevated dustings could be possible, however. We’re tracking another disturbance move through southern Missouri Sunday. A few flurries will be possible around the lake area, but shouldn’t be troublesome either. Highs for the rest of us will be stuck in the 30’s to round out the weekend. A little more seasonal temperatures next week with highs in the low to mid 40’s. Another disturbance we’ll be tracking is moving through around Tuesday of next week. Could have enough to stir up a few flakes as well, but doesn’t appear to be anything serious.
