Tracking the return of sunny skies today
THANKSGIVING: We’ll likely wake up to cloud cover in some form. Some might have a little bit of fog as an added bonus this morning. All of that looks to work out of here by midday, leaving us sunny for the rest of our holiday. Temperatures will push into the middle 50’s this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will stick around overnight, with lows bottoming out near freezing.
EXTENDED: A weak front will slide through, knocking highs back into the low 50’s Friday and Saturday. Otherwise, no big impacts with it as sunshine will stick around. We’re going to be tracking a cut-off low pressure system into Sunday, which can be a bit unpredictable. It looks to take a track from about Louisiana to the Great Lakes and how close it gets will determine whether or not we get some precipitation. Right now, most of us are looking to stay dry, but stay with us as some light showers to even a light wintry mix is still on the table. It’s going to bring some of the coldest air we’ve seen in a while back in, with highs in the 30’s Monday. We could see some lows in the teens Monday night before thawing out Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low 40’s.
