Tracking widespread rain starting Friday through the weekend

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and diminishing winds, with mild temperatures overnight. Lows fall into the low to mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with highs in the low to mid-60s. Showers likely by late afternoon.

EXTENDED: The cold front responsible for Friday's clouds and rain will slowly advance south through Saturday morning, leaving us much cooler for the weekend. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will remain in the upper 40s, but more rain moves in with a deep trough in the upper levels of the atmosphere heading our direction. Rain likely comes to an end by early Sunday, leaving us chilly for the rest of the weekend. Rain totals will range from 1-2" from Friday through Sunday. Next week, we start off dry Monday, but I am tracking another chance for measurable rainfall Tuesday into Wednesday, giving us an additional half inch of rain and moving out by lunch time Wednesday. Temperatures the rest of next week will stay in the upper 30s at night and lower 50s in the afternoon, including on Thanksgiving.
