Tracking strong gusty winds, warmer Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with south winds between 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. Lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and windy with southwest gusts up to 45 mph. Highs in the low 70s with sunshine.

EXTENDED: Winds begin to ease Thursday night, but temperatures remain much warmer than normal through Friday morning. Cloud cover increases Friday ahead of our next front that will move in from the north and stall out across northern Missouri. A few showers will be possible late Friday along this boundary north of I-70, with the majority of precipitation moving in on Saturday through Sunday. Rain is likely from Saturday through late Sunday afternoon, leaving us with about 1-2" of rainfall. As this disturbance moves out, temperatures will fall from the upper 50s Saturday to the upper 40s for highs on Sunday. We start off next week chilly with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s, and another chance of rain on Tuesday that will give us an additional 0.25" to 0.5" of rain. Temperatures look to remain near normal the rest of the week for Thanksgiving and the day after.
