Tracking possible storms and warmer temperatures this weekend

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, chilly. Lows in the upper 30s with showers after midnight.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and warmer with highs in the low 60s. Chance of a few strong storms by late afternoon into early evening. Some could produce isolated damaging winds.

EXTENDED: The severe weather potential for Saturday will largely fall on the amount of instability we can realize during the afternoon. This may be tough to achieve with cloud cover, but if we can break through the clouds, thunderstorms with the potential of isolated damaging winds and spin up tornadoes will be possible, especially along and south of I-44. Storms end as the front makes its way east, with cooler air on the way for Sunday. The rest of the weekend is quiet as temperatures remain in the mid-50s Sunday afternoon. Next week looks awesome as we get closer to the middle of the month. Highs will be seasonable in the upper 50s to around 60, and I'm expecting a dry pattern through the entire work week.
