Tracking a frigid start giving way to rain chances tonight

COLD START

FRIDAY: It’s brutally cold to start this morning, but sunshine will be plentiful to close out the week. Temperatures after our chilly start, can only manage the upper 40’s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Clouds will be on the increase this evening ahead of our next system. Rain will hold off until after midnight. Lows will only bottom out in the upper 30’s, so no wintry concerns tonight.

EXTENDED: Those showers will last through the morning on Saturday before a break in the activity. A cold front will slide through Saturday afternoon, possibly reigniting showers and a few storms. Timing on that second round would be between 4 pm and 10 pm, but there’s less confidence in the second round compared to the first. Temperatures will manage to sneak into the upper 50’s despite a pretty clouds star tot the weekend. Highs will be a touch cooler Sunday in the middle 50’s, but sunshine will try to make up for that. The quiet weather looks to be a theme of next week, with highs starting out in the middle 50’s Monday and Tuesday. We’ll warm up into the 60’s for the second half of the week.
