Tracking above-average temperatures through the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and nice with lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and mild with highs in the low to mid-70s.

EXTENDED: The beautiful weather sticks around through the weekend with upper high pressure still controlling our weather, but with a deep area of low pressure looming to our west this weekend, winds will get squeeze between these two features over Mid-Missouri. This means we'll see a strong southwest breeze on Saturday and Sunday, keeping temperatures in the 70s. Next week starts off warm on Monday as we reach the mid-70s, but a strong cold front will bring rain and potentially a few thunderstorms Monday night into Tuesday, and we'll cool off considerably. Temperatures fall to the 30s Tuesday night and only reach the low 50s by Wednesday afternoon. Another shot at rain is possible Thursday with temperatures staying just below normal for the rest of the week.
