Tracking a return to some stormy weather

storms

FRIDAY: Showers and storms will move through this morning. Nothing strong or severe is expected, but a few rumbles of thunder will greet some of us out the door. These storms will slide southeast of the area toward midday. Temperatures will fall back into the 40’s, where they’ll stay even into this afternoon with a cool northwest breeze.

TONIGHT: A cold night is in store as clouds start filtering out of the area. Temperatures will fall into the low to mid 30’s, so some patchy frost will be possible.

EXTENDED: After a cold start, we’ll recover into the upper 40’s and low 50’s Saturday afternoon, but it won’t be quite as breezy. Even though it will still be chilly, that might be our best chance to get outside, as rain returns Sunday. That chance for rain will stick around through Tuesday as a couple of disturbances track through the region. If precipitation is falling overnight Monday night into Tuesday morning, or Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, some wet snowflakes will be possible. The details on that are going to be cutting it close, and the odds of anything impactful are slim to none at this point. But one thing does look certain: it’s going to be cool just about all of next week. Highs will bounce around in the 50’s with lows around the mid to upper 30’s.
