Tracking a break from the cool weather

warm afternoon

WEDNESDAY: Winds out of the southwest have helped out overnight, getting us off to a warmer start. Temperatures will carry on that trend and get into the middle 70’s before a front enters the picture. Despite a cold front moving in, clouds don’t look to be much of an issue. Winds will be, however, with gusts reaching near 25-30 mph this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Winds will back off tonight but between a constant northwest wind and clear skies it’ll be another chilly night. Overnight lows will fall into the middle 40’s for most of us.

EXTENDED: We’ll be firmly stuck in the cool weather going forward, so highs in the low to mid 60’s will be the new norm. The coldest morning will be Friday with a chance to see quite a few of us getting down to the upper 30’s. Rain chances stay away until later on Saturday into Sunday morning. This rain doesn’t appear to be anything terribly heavy, although we could use some rain around the area, especially south. We’ll crawl out of the low 60’s and get into the low 70’s by the middle of next week.
