Tracking a beautiful fall day

TODAY: After another cool start, temperatures will struggle to get out of the lower 60’s this afternoon. A mix of sun and clouds along with a westerly breeze will go with some of that cooler weather this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Winds will turn out of a southwesterly direction, which will help keep things a touch warmer. Lows will only back off into the upper 40’s with more low 50’s.

EXTENDED: Those southwest winds will be the story with some gusts reaching 25 mph moving in some warmer weather. Highs will top out in the low to mid 70’s ahead of an approaching cold front. That front looks too starved for moisture to carry any rain chances, however. It will knock highs back into the 60’s for the rest of the week. Things stay dry Thursday and Friday before more rain chances slide in with the arrival of another system. Those chances look centered around Saturday night but the timing is still flexible and could last into Sunday.
