Tracking a soggy Tuesday in the works

rain

TUESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms will be a big part of the day. We could see a few heading off to work or school this morning, but the better coverage should be closer to lunch. The radar will fill in sometime around the 11 AM-3 PM window, and looks to favor our southeastern counties. There's a low-end threat of severe storms, but the bigger threat could be the heavy rain. Highs will be stuck in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

TONIGHT: Rain lingers through midnight before tapering off into the early morning hours. Lows will start a trend of getting back to the upper 50’s and low 60’s.

EXTENDED: Rain looks to move back north Wednesday, but a few stray showers can’t be ruled out yet. Highs will only top out in the mid to upper 70’s again with cloud cover looking to hold tough. More of the same on Thursday with slight rain chances and highs in the 70’s. A slightly better chance to pick up some rain on Friday to close out the week, but we’ll keep highs in the 70’s. We’ll need to side-step rain one more day on Saturday if you have any outdoor plans before we can enjoy the weather on Sunday.
