Tracking daily rain chances going forward

active pattern

TUESDAY: Another day with chances for showers and thunderstorms. Much of the activity will be near the I-44 corridor, but could spread as far north of I-70 this afternoon. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80’s.

TONIGHT: Anything going after sunset will begin to fizzle by midnight as lows fall to near 70.

EXTENDED: This active weather pattern will keep up for the rest of the workweek. Disturbances will be easy to come by, coupled with some muggy conditions. Details will be tough to pin down more than a day or two out, but the pattern will persist through the weekend. Our next big shakeup comes with the return of northwesterly flow Sunday into Monday with the passage of a frontal boundary. Some slightly cooler weather may be in store next week, but we’ll need to be patient in the meantime. Highs through the weekend will be in the mid to upper 80’s through Sunday.
