Tracking some tardy storm chances

storms possible

SATURDAY: Storms rolling out of Nebraska and Iowa this morning have underwhelmed and look like they’ll continue that weakening. We may get a few showers out of it this morning, but our better chances is looking later. Storms will redevelop this afternoon and could become strong to severe. All modes of severe weather are on the table but damaging winds and hail will be the biggest concern. Highs look to reach the low 90’s feeling like the upper 90’s with the humidity.

TONIGHT: Any storms that do form this afternoon will be out of the area by midnight. Lows will cool off into the upper 60’s.

EXTENDED: Things are more settled to close the weekend. Highs will only warm into the mid to upper 80’s but that humidity will take a break again. Those comfortable conditions stick around another day to start the workweek on Monday. Highs will be a few degrees warmer, but still tolerable near 90. We keep the warming trend going Tuesday and welcome back that humidity. Highs will reach the low to mid 90’s for what looks like the rest of the week, feeling like the triple digits.
