Tracking more muggy afternoons

more heat

TONIGHT: A spot storm or two will work through the area from east to west this evening, but should depart shortly after midnight. A quiet night on tap otherwise, with lows dropping into the low 70’s.

MONDAY: Another warm one to kick off the week. Highs will touch the low 90’s, with the feels-like temperatures in the upper 90’s. Afternoon storm chances look to return but will again be spotty in nature.

EXTENDED: An upper-level ridge will reestablish overhead, keeping the changes to the weather pretty minimal the next few days. Afternoons will get into the low 90’s, feeling like to mid to upper 90’s with just about daily shots at storms. Rain chances might be slightly better Thursday and Friday with a little more organized storm chances moving in. Otherwise, get ready for another steamy week where we don’t get bailed out by a spot storm. Remember to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade during the afternoon hours.
