Mother Nature bringing her own fireworks in spots this afternoon

stormss

FRIDAY: That warm and humid airmass is still locked in place. That could help keep these isolated to scattered storms going later today with temperatures trying to get into the upper 80’s. In places where the rain doesn’t curb the heat, the feels-like temperatures will get into the mid to upper 90’s.

TONIGHT: Storm coverage will likely thin out after sunset, but the threat will still be there. Overnight lows will fall to near 70 with those isolated storms.

EXTENDED: Some of that activity might linger into the morning tomorrow but the rest of the holiday looks dry. Temperatures will top out around 90 again, but the humidity will move west temporarily. It looks to stay away on Sunday, keeping those afternoon storm chances with it as highs reach the upper 80’s. It takes a break for the weekend but returns for the workweek. Highs will still be in the upper 80’s and low 90’s, but the humidity will push feels like temperatures near 100. We’ll bring back the threat of afternoon storms going forward, and this pattern looks locked in place just about all week.
