Hot start to the week expected

TONIGHT: Temperatures will remain warm overnight dropping into the low 70s. It will be muggy out the door in the morning.

MONDAY: We're going to stay dry for most of the day Monday. Temperatures warm right back up to near 90. Clouds will increase through the afternoon as storm system approaches from Oklahoma. Thunderstorms are possible Monday night into Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: The storm system expected tomorrow night into Tuesday looks... interesting to say the least. What will start off as a complex of showers and storms near I-44 will quickly spin up into a larger circulation (almost like a land-hurricane) and have the potential to produce very heavy rainfall in parts of mid-Missouri. There's also a slim chance we could see a tornado or two with this type of set up... It will need to be monitored closely. The rest of the week looks to remain warm and very humid.
