Tracking storms to kick off the weekend

storms

SATURDAY: Storms are moving through this morning. The severe threat seems fairly tame with these having arrived a little too late overnight. We'll be tracking some storms not only this morning but redeveloping later this afternoon and evening. There's a slim chance one or two of these is on the strong side with some hail and gusty winds the biggest threats. We'll have to monitor any of the same locations that pick up storms with both rounds as the rain could start adding up.

TONIGHT: Coverage in the second round of storms should start thinning out overnight. Lows only fall to near 70 again.

EXTENDED: Sunday's looking drier, but that may not be a great thing. That means temperatures will take aim at the lower 90's and wearable air will push heat indices into the mid to upper 90's. Sunday will be a good day to get used to going forward, since we'll be stuck in a similar pattern going forward. Highs will bounce around in the upper 80's to low 90's with heat indices in the mid to upper 90's. Just about every day next week we can't rule out some afternoon storms. With as much energy that will be in the atmosphere, we'll have to monitor any of these storms for severe weather. This is the kind of pattern having the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather App comes in handy.
