Scattered storm chances through this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: It's a bit muggier out there this afternoon. Air temperatures will top out around 86. It will feel like it's 90 with the humid air. Weather remains dry.

TONIGHT: Quiet and mild. Temperatures drop into the upper 60s. A few showers and a rumble of thunder is possible in northwestern mid-MO by sunrise.

EXTENDED: The better chance of those showers and storms holding together will be north of the interstate tomorrow morning. Otherwise, storm chances will return toward the afternoon Friday with highs in the upper 80's. The frontal boundary bringing the return of these storm chances will linger through the weekend. This means just about every day through next Tuesday will feel similar, with afternoon highs in the upper 80's and daily storm chances. In between periods of storms, there will be plenty of dry time to enjoy with Dad, but Saturday and Sunday, any storms we do see could become strong.
