Tracking heat and humidity back into Mid-Missouri

heating up this afternoon

TUESDAY: Warmer weather moves in today. Highs will climb into the upper 80's and with some added humidity, feels like temperatures will be in the low 90's this afternoon. A slight breeze will attempt to help cool us off under partly cloudy skies.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies stick around with lows falling into the upper 60's.

EXTENDED: Another toasty afternoon is in store Wednesday. Highs will look to run into the upper 80's with a few 90's possible. Heat indices will make it into the middle 90's, which could provide a ripe environment for storms. A frontal boundary will slide south and fire up storms into the afternoon and evening. Some of these could be strong, with gusty winds and some hail possible. With that boundary likely sticking around the area, storm chances will stick around Thursday before moving out Friday for this weekend. Temperatures look a little tricky with iffy rain chances. If we can keep the rain away, we'll make it back into the upper 80's to near 90. It looks that warm this weekend with the dry weather sticking around.
