Strong storms possible later today

storms

THURSDAY: Showers possible early north of I-70, becoming quite warm with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. A few scattered strong storms are possible in the afternoon, with more widespread severe storms by evening. For the latest timing and threats on storms tonight, head over to the Stormtrack Insider Blog.

TONIGHT: Storms look to break out along a frontal boundary and slide in around 8-9PM. They'll continue to track off to the southeast throughout the night, and will bring the threat of severe weather with them as well before exiting the viewing area.

EXTENDED:  The front tries to move a bit more south on Friday before retreating back north for the weekend. With the front having left us briefly, Friday is looking to be dry after early morning storms. Storm chances return through early Sunday, leaving us with 1.5" to 2" of rainfall by Sunday evening. Temperatures remain in the upper 70s each day, and we start off next week dry and staying above average with temperatures.
