Tracking a cool down into the weekend

WINDY

FRIDAY: Cooler air is making a push back into mid-Missouri this morning. Temperatures will settle back into the 40's this morning, where they will stay throughout the rest of the day. Northerly winds are to thank for this cool down, and they'll keep up into the afternoon. Gusts will reach up to 30 mph in some spots this morning. We have a chance at some sun by this afternoon and evening as clouds filter out.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies hang around overnight as lows fall back into the upper 20's.

EXTENDED: Another cool day in-store on Saturday but looks to feature more sunshine. Highs will top out in the middle 40's both Saturday and Sunday. We're tracking the return of some rain chances early on Sunday. May mix in a snowflake or two as it moves in but will quickly transition to a cold, light rain for the remainder of the day. We start to warm back up on Monday with highs in the upper 50's as another system moves in overnight into Tuesday. Wednesday looks pleasant with highs in the mid to upper 60's with more rain moving in Thursday night into Friday.
