Widespread rain and a few strong storms possible tonight

TONIGHT: Widespread showers and a few storms likely past midnight. A few isolated thunderstorms could become severe with a risk for damaging winds. Lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

SUNDAY: Clouds hold and it's still mild before the cold front cools us down at night. Highs in the mid-upper 50s. Lows in the low 30s.

EXTENDED: A line of showers and thunderstorms will push across Mid-Missouri Saturday night into early Sunday morning, bringing the potential for isolated 50-60 mph winds and rain amounts between 1" and 1.5" through Sunday morning. Sunday remains mild and breezy with gusts up to 25 mph. As the front finally moves through Sunday night, temperatures drop into the upper 20s and low 30s with wind gusts Sunday night into Monday reaching 30 mph. Next week stays quiet through Thursday, with temperatures warming back into the 50s by New Year's Day.
