Spectacular weather continues Tuesday

TONIGHT: Clouds increase. Lows will be mild for December, in the upper 30s.

TUESDAY: Another gorgeous day is in store with filtered sunshine. Temperatures will quickly rise into the 50s and low to mid 60s by 2pm. More sunshine is expected in the early evening.

EXTENDED: The weather looks quiet for much of the rest of this week. We'll see temperatures their warmest Christmas day. We'll be in the mid-to-upper 60s, with many spots potentially in the low 70s. The warmest Christmas ever recorded at Columbia Regional Airport was 74 in 1889. We have a good chance to get within a few degrees of that record. The southeast ridge will breakdown later this week, bringing unsettled weather and cooler temperatures to mid-Missouri. Rain and storms are expected to develop late Friday night and last into Saturday. We'll fall through the 40s into the weekend.
