Sunshine dominates Thursday, spotty sprinkles south Friday

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny and warmer, highs in the low to mid-40s.

TONIGHT: Patchy fog possible. Lows fall into the upper 20s.

EXTENDED: Another cold front will swing through Friday, bringing clouds and slightly cooler temperatures, spotty showers are possible south of I-70 in the afternoon. We remain dry between now and the weekend, and temperatures soar into the mid-50s by Sunday as an upper level ridge of high pressure dominates our weather through early next week. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day look quite mild, with temperatures approaching the upper 50s. Rain looks to hold off for most until Christmas Day or later in the week.
