Similar start, but a better end today

THAWING OUT

WEDNESDAY: We've fallen back into the upper teens and low 20's to start out the day again, but we'll do a better job at warming up. Highs will reach the middle to some upper 40s by this afternoon with some more sunshine.

TONIGHT: Clouds will be increasing, which will help keep temperatures from getting quite as cold as we've seen the previous few nights, but still falling into the low 30's.

EXTENDED: Things stay fairly quiet for the rest of the workweek. We're going to be tracking a system that looks to stay to our north both Thursday and Friday, but will bring us some more clouds with highs staying in the upper 40s and low 50s. One that may clip us moves in Friday night into Saturday, bringing a quick hit of some cold rain and a few flurries, but it doesn't look like anything to worry about at this time. It will unlock the cold air again as temperatures look to only top out in the 30s this weekend. The system that has the best chance to impact Mid-Missouri moves in Sunday into Monday. We have plenty of questions about this system still, but accumulating snow is a possibility so we'll be tracking it as we move into the next few days.
