Cold, fall day ahead, light mix possible

THANKSGIVING DAY: Very light rain, sleet and snow will develop late morning, transitioning to mostly rain later in the afternoon. Highs hover in the mid-to-upper 30s.

TONIGHT: Spot showers are possible-- with cooler temperatures near Moberly and north, isolated slick spots are possible on bridges and overpasses.

EXTENDED: Rain returns along with a few rumbles of thunder into Friday. Highs will return to the mid-upper 40s. Rain should come to an end on Saturday early in the day, leaving us mild in the upper 50s with gusty winds increasing by Sunday. It's much cooler on Sunday with highs in the low 40s and wind chills in the 30s, and potentially a few snow or rain showers, especially north of I-70. The pattern stays quiet and seasonable going into next week.
