Fourth Congressional District

The new Fourth Congressional District is one of several that now stretch into the Kansas City area after the redrawn boundaries of the "Missouri First" map were approved. Its area includes Camden and Pulaski counties.

Republican Rep. Mark Alford of Raymore is seeking reelection to the seat he first won in 2022. Heather Shelton of Belton and Scott Vincent Vera of Kansas City also filed in the Republican primary.

Seven Democrats filed for their party's primary:

  • Jordan Herrera of Kansas City;
  • Wayne Russell of Columbia;
  • Hartzell Gray III of Lee's Summit;
  • G. Rick of Morrissville;
  • Jeanette Cass of Niangua;
  • Ashleigh Rogers of Kansas City;
  • and Randy Miller of Lone Jack.

Libertarian Thomas Holbrook of Warrensburg is the only candidate seeking his party's nomination.
