Tracking a couple more hot days before storms and fall-like temperatures

TODAY: I'm tracking a mostly sunny, hot afternoon for most as temperatures warm into the low 90s, with feels-like temperatures nearing 100-105. During the later afternoon hours, a few isolated storms will be possible, but most will remain quiet as winds blow out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking mostly quiet conditions overnight as temperatures drop back down into the low 70s by the end of the night. Winds will continue to stay out of the southwest at 5-10 mph, which is why temperatures will be staying on the warmer end.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another hot afternoon with partly cloudy conditions on Saturday as low 90s and feels-like temperatures along and south of I-70 in the 100-105 degree range persist. Mostly dry conditions will remain until the overnight hours where a chance of scattered showers and storms arrives, decreasing in coverage by Sunday afternoon. This will keep temperatures slightly cooler for Sunday, but a better chance of showers and storms due to a cold front Sunday night into Monday morning will bring much more noticeable relief. As rain decreases in coverage through Monday afternoon, temperatures will only top out in the mid-70s. The rest of next week, mornings in the 50s and afternoons in the 70s can be expected, as well as mostly dry, sunny conditions.
